
Kim Samitore (Owner) is an accomplished equine care professional. Kim holds a degree in Agriculture Sales and Service - Equine Studies from Dickinson State University, is Certified in Equine Reproduction - A.I. from Oregon State University and is a Certified Large Animal Massage Practitioner (LAMP) from the Northwest School of Animal Massage, in additiona she has completed over 80 hours of the Richard Shrake Resistance Free Program, earning a Level 1 & 2 Certification in Equine Instruction and Training.
She is dedicated to her profession, always learning something new and continuing her education in equine care, health, training and instruction.
Kim takes pride in working with her horse and human clients to set them up for success through effective communication, structure and fun!
Kim has shown/won and rides in Western Pleasure/Equitation, Trail (competition/recreational), Equi-Soccer, English Pleasure/Equitation, Dressage, Gymkhana, Barrel Racing, Reining, Team Penning, etc. Kim believes in shaping all of her horses to be true all around partners. At present, Kim has narrowed her focus to barrel racing and teaching her two young daughters to ride and compete.
Kim's primary passion is equine health and wellness in regards to rehabilitation, lay ups, proper tack fit, natural care including the use of herbs and body work. She is constantly researching and learning new techniques to enhance the quality of life of horses young and old in good health and bad for maintenance and recovery.
She also takes pride in helping people to understand how their body and body language influences the horse on the ground and in the saddle to create total communication between horse and rider/handler.
